Atlas
Atlas is a brand of furniture and objects for everyday use, created from the exchange of knowledge between designers and artisans. Atlas exalts traditional techniques and crafts to translate them into art, experiences and objects. In addition to aesthetic value and functionality, each piece has a story that can be told, which connects with the ancestral tradition and the natural environment of which it is part. For Atlas it is essential to sustain an environmental and social commitment that helps to dignify the artisan trades of the indigenous and peasant communities with which it collaborates; hence the fabrics and fibres are the focus of the designs. Atlas is based in the city of Bogotá, although its designer and founder is originally from Medellín. Throughout its trajectory, this company has collaborated with brands such as Starbucks, Juan Valdez, White Label Project, Blue House, Lozza de Marín, Margarita Díaz del Castillo, Jookie Store, St. Dom, Artesanías de Colombia and The Good Studio, among others.
Atlas is a travel diary that navegates the regions of our country through design and artisan crafts in a globalized world that cries out for identity. It is a seal of curation and ethical and sustainable design.
